Video blog 5 and some news

Well, here it is! Blog 5, which is a bit overdue. Life's getting a little bit hectic, as all of my assessments are starting to pile up, but fear not, readers, I will not forget you!

Lyrics for "Yakko's World" follow, so you can sing along at home:

"United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama

And China, Korea, Japan.

Then Transylviania,
Monaco, Liechtenstein
Malta, and Palestine,
Fiji, Australia, Sudan."

Other than that, I have some news. While I'm still working on writing case studies, I have to say the response I've received in regards to interviews was shockingly underwhelming. I think this is something to do with the fact that I took it in faith people read and respond to their emails. This is not the case. Ian McNish, head of Drama Studies at Bath Spa University informs me that, in the professional world, an email is only good as a warning; an email says "I know who you are and would like to get in contact with you, so I'm going to do everything I can to find you". This is a lesson I will definitely take on board, as the creative industries are all about getting people's attention.

That said, I have managed to score a chat/interview with Pavel Douglas, notable voice actor, performer and member of Bath's "Natural Theatre Company", so I'll tell you how that goes once we manage to meet.

I'm working towards a stand-up comedy gig at the Victoria Works on the 3rd of March, performance of a multimedia play I wrote on the 8th of March, and a vocal storytelling performance in the Bath Mini-fest, dates to be confirmed. If you're in the Bath area, please come and look me up, as far as I'm aware, admission is free so you have no excuse!

I'm still trying to decide exactly which story, play or monologue I should do for the Mini-fest, as it will be performed entirely by myself through use of live and recorded audio. I'm edging towards a children's book or similar, but I'm not sure at the moment. Any suggestions, feel free to comment.
Well, that's all for now. Talk to you soon, internet.
